What previous renters had to say…

“I’ve lived in 5 student houses and this was the best by miles. The house is modern, clean and well heated. Everything most student houses are not. The landlady was quick and efficient in her dealing with issues. Couldn’t ask for more.”

— Jason, Ireland (2017-2018)

100 Barrack Street

“Overall a very wonderful place to stay in a convenient location with a very friendly landlord.”

“Very positive experience. Nina and Ellen have been lovely and truly welcoming. Very prompt in replying and solving any issues. The house is huge, nice and tidy.”

— Maria and Christian, Italy (2019)

39 Glasheen Road

"Lovely ensuite rooms in both houses; Glasheen Rd & Barrack St. The first house is very close to UCC and in a nice residential area. The Barrack St house is just a few steps from the city centre and next to some great cafes. Make sure to try Badger & Dodo's coffee down the road. The ensuite rooms were excellent, clean and both on the top floor. Whenever there was an issue in the house, the landlords made sure to resolve it as quickly as possible. Definitely recommend staying here if you're a student and new to Cork."

— Vivienne, Switzerland (2019 - 2020)

"I had a wonderful experience staying at the house in Barrack Street. The landlords are super friendly and helpful. The house itself has everything a student needs and much more. And the location is also perfect, being in walking distance to UCC as well as Cork city centre.."

Living in Cork City

Cork is the second largest City in Ireland, with the second largest natural harbour in the world. Named one of the Top 10 “Best in Travel” by Lonely Planet in 2010, it features top class educational institutes, an abundance of culture and warm welcomes. Cork has a medieval history going back to Viking invaders in the 10th Century. Today it is a modern university city, with a multi-cultural student population giving the city a young and vibrant atmosphere.

Cork’s city limits have expanded in 2019, meaning a larger city population and a stronger economic offering. Home to a number of large multi-national corporations, Cork is a thriving business hub, offering plenty of opportunity for industry experience to complement your studies, with numerous large Pharmaceutical, Financial and IT companies (Including, Pfizer, Novartis, GlaxoSmith Kline, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson, Boston Scientific, Stryker, KPMG, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Amazon, IBM, Dell EMC, Johnson Controls, McAfee, VMWare, Logitec, Siemens, and Apple European HQ), as well as leading Irish healthcare facilities (CUH, Mercy Hospital, Bons Secours and Mater Private), not forgetting the main appeal of our leading Irish educational institutes MTU (Munster Technological University) and UCC (University College Cork). We are also ideally placed for the Crawford College of Art & Design, the Cork School of Music, CCAE (Cork Centre for Architectural Education), Cork College of Commerce, St John’s Central College, Griffith College and many Cork Language Summer Schools.

When people are not working or studying hard, there are plenty of cultural and culinary attractions right on your doorstep, as reaffirmed by the City being named as the European Capital of Culture in 2005. As well as an abundance of shops and top class restaurants, the City hosts many events throughout the year, including the annual Cork Jazz Weekend, the Cork Film Festival, as well as Live at the Marquee, featuring many world famous headline acts.

What better way to enjoy all Cork has to offer, but from our cosy, safe, comfortable and stylish college accommodation at Cork Rooms. Offering great value premium accommodation, in two fantastic locations, within easy reach of the City and all colleges. We hope to welcome you soon!
